1 Year Later

Dear friends and family,

Today a year ago we embarked on a life changing journey to South Korea. The kindness, generosity & support of so many are still fresh in our minds and it is with ONLY thankful hearts that we look back on the whole process. God has been with us every step of the way and every day we still see the difference the treatment has made in Hanno's life. Here is an update on how Hanno is doing months after undergoing the treatment.

After returning in November 2022, Hanno is still improving and is in much better shape compared to a year ago, before Dr. Lee's treatments. He is maintaining the improvements by still doing his specific exercises & stretches daily. His pain levels have dropped and is maintained at 50% or even less compared to before the treatment. He is able to play and enjoy padel tennis, where a year ago it wouldn't have been possible. Overall he is doing very very well!

Our time in Korea, undoubtedly, was one of the most challenging phases of our lives. Every day was an amalgamation of hope, pain, determination, and faith. We were overwhelmed by God's goodness in the midst of all our struggles. We were blessed with our first child, Emma. As we navigated the intricate maze of Hanno's treatments, we also started preparing for this new chapter of becoming parents that awaited us.

Returning to South Africa, we welcomed our beautiful daughter in May. Every giggle, every smile, and even every cry from her is a constant reminder of the blessings that sometimes come wrapped in challenges. She has brought peace, joy and healing to our family.

Looking ahead, we have set our sights on another journey back to Korea. Dr. Lee's treatments have already transformed Hanno's life in unimaginable ways, and we believe that further treatments could usher in even more progress. We move forward with optimism, armed with the love and support of our dear friends, family and most importantly our heavenly Father. As we embark on this next chapter, we hope to bring back not just stories of healing and triumph but also inspiration for all those who journey alongside us, reminding everyone that with faith and determination, the impossible can indeed become possible.
